The following are just a few of our testimonials.

JohnI have been tutored by Ms. Belt since I was in the 6th grade.  Before I received tutorial services, my school work was not organized and I was not doing well in school.  Since I have been receiving tutoring my grades have increased and on my last report card, I received all A’s and one B.  (I know I would have received all A’s if my parents would have taken me for tutoring more).

Upon graduating from middle school I received an award for A and B Honor Roll and an award for “Most Respectful Student”.   Now I am in the 9th grade and I have received an award for Honor Roll in high school. I am still tutored by Ms. Belt twice a month and she assists me with my Math and Science.  I like coming to Academic Advantage Tutoring.  Because of tutoring, I now enjoy school and all of my academic subjects.

Before coming to Academic Advantage Tutoring, my math grades were not what they could be. Coming from home schooling to the public school system, my math foundation was not very solid. By having me take a diagnostic test, we were able to pin point my weaknesses and set up a program to reinforce needed concepts. Now after tutoring, my grades are excellent. I passed the all sections of the Georgia High School Graduation Test with flying colors (including math!) and I have an A in my math class.

My son Holden completed 15 weeks of tutoring during the first semester of the 2006-2007 school year in Language Arts and Mathematics. Since his tutoring began, his grades improved dramatically as well as his attitude. My wife and I have noticed a big change in our son. I would say that the most significant improvement, though, would be his confidence. With the infividualized help and his high confidence, he excelled in his classes. We have enrolled him for the second semester and our son continues to bring home excellent progress reports.

I want to thank Academic Advantage Tutoring for helping me with my school work in all of my subjects. Before I started tutoring, I had almost all f's and a c. Now my grades have improved in all of my subjects. After all of your hard work in helping me to get organized and picking me up from school, I have become a believer that if you work hard for something, you will definitely achieve it. Thank you again for all of your help and for motivating me to achieve.

I attend Academic Advantage Tutoring for Math. Before tutoring, I struggled with my math courses. Now I am making very good grades. I enjoy my tutorial sessions because my tutor teaches me Calculus and Analysis in a way I can understand. This is my second year with Academic Advantage Tutoring and I will definitely be back for Physics tutoring.

Monica Ellington and son EarnestMy name is Monica Ellington and my son is Earnest Ellington III. My concern for my son's educational needs became apparent when he was given his CRCT results in the 4th grade (last school year). Upon getting the CRCT results, Earnest had failed the math portion. I knew he was in some serious trouble because he was approaching the fifth grade and he was required to pass the Math and Reading sections to be eligible for promotion to the 6th grade. I had to come up with a sure plan to ge him brought up to grade level so I searched the telephone directory and came across Academic Advantage Tutoring. I met with Ms. Kim and discussed my concerns about Earnest's academic performance. Point blank I wanted to know "can you help him". She responded she could but he needed one-on-one help and she needed to build his confidence. So he began to attend tutoring working with Ms. Kim. Shortly into the sessions, she realized that he didn't know his multiplication which basically mean we had a lot of work. So the sessions began around October with what I felt was minimal progress. Around January/February he started improving more. March and April just before CRCT, Tre (Earnest) was on fire. The teacher started to notice an improvement from answering no questions in class to participation. This was a plus!!

It is now CRCT time. The day the Math section was given when Tre got home, I asked "how did it go?" He responded, "I feel pretty good about the test because its what Ms. Kim went over. So we anxiously awaited the result. On 5/21/08 when I came home from work, Tre said "Ma, I got good news, I passed the CRCT." We started hugging, screaming and crying. I called Ms. Kim and thanked her for her helping my son. Because without her help, things looked real hopeless.

Academic Advantage Tutoring really helped my son in his academic journey!! Thank you Ms. Kim.
