Gateway Exam (Gwinnett County Students Only)

• The exam is an essay to be written by students.

• The Exam contains two parts:

1. Social Studies/Language Arts

    Topic from world history

2. Science/Language Arts

    Topic from biology and chemistry

• Writing abiltiy for both test is from 9th grade biology, 10th grade chemistry & 9th grade to 10th grade language arts.

Each part contains two scenarios. The student selects on which to write about. A passing score on each section is required for graduation in Gwinnett County.
